From June 25 through 27, 2026, World of Coffee will be held at Brussels Expo for the first time. Europe’s largest specialty coffee trade show is especially worthwhile if you plan ahead: which workshops will you sign up for, which cuppings will you schedule, which producers or roasters do you want to speak with, and which competitions or lectures are relevant to your work?

World of Coffee Brussels 2026 is a large event, the days are short, and the most interesting parts are often precisely those for which you have to register in advance or for which you have to make a point of going to a specific location on the exhibition floor.

World of Coffee Brussels 2026 Cupping

Workshops: Book early

Start with the components you need to plan. The workshops are a good example of this. They usually last 2.5 to 3 hours and are designed not only to discuss a topic but also to put it into practice. The program includes sessions on green coffee buying, water, grind size distribution, sensory evaluation, branding, e-commerce, EUDR compliance, and flavor development under changing climate conditions. Since space is limited, this isn’t something you can decide on the day of the event.

Cuppings: Choose in Advance

The Cupping Rooms also require some preparation. They are designed to help you discover different origins, hone your sensory skills, and connect directly with producers, roasters, and coffee experts. Precisely because cuppings take place at set times, it’s worth deciding in advance which tables are relevant to your purchasing, product range, or personal interest. Sourcing: producers, roasters, and green coffee

For anyone involved in sourcing or procurement, Producer Village, Roaster Villages, and Green Coffee Connect are must-visit stops. In the new Producer Village, green coffee producers, distributors, and smaller sourcing companies gather to showcase their coffee and their businesses. The Roaster Villages bring together 112 roasters, producers, and coffee professionals. Green Coffee Connect is specifically geared toward discussions between producers, importers, exporters, traders, and roasters.

Lectures

The program also includes the SCA Lecture Series, featuring sessions on sustainability, science, business, innovation, and current issues. A public roundtable discussion is scheduled for June 25 to discuss new economic research on coffee’s contribution to the EU economy.

Matches: Examining Decisions Under Pressure

World of Coffee Brussels 2026 will also host three World Coffee Championships on the exhibition floor. The World Brewers Cup focuses on manual filter coffee, technique, and storytelling. Mik (@yellow_coat_boi) will represent the Netherlands. The World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship brings together coffee and cocktails, including the classic Irish Coffee and signature drinks. The World Coffee Roasting Championship focuses on precision, sensory evaluation, and the roasting of both single-origin and blended coffees.

Innovation and Design

Innovation also gets its own spotlight. The Best New Product Awards highlight the products, technologies, packaging, and solutions that, according to the jury, are shaping the specialty coffee sector. The Coffee Design Awards focus on the visual aspects of coffee culture, such as packaging and design.

Uganda as the Featured Country

A special feature of this edition is Uganda as the “Portrait Country.” Every year, World of Coffee puts an additional origin country in the spotlight. In Brussels, Uganda will be the focus of a three-day program highlighting producers, culture, and the country’s role in the global coffee supply chain. Visitors can stop by booth #7504 and participate in cuppings.

European coffee shops

There’s also a lot going on outside the traditional trade show. During World of Coffee Brussels 2026, the “100 Best Coffee Shops in Europe” will be announced at a special gala evening. This will shift the focus briefly from machines, competitions, and trade relationships to the cafés that demonstrate what hospitality and quality mean in practice every day.

Practical Information

World of Coffee Brussels 2026 will take place from June 25 through 27, 2026, at Brussels Expo, Pl. de Belgique 1, 1020 Brussels. Registration, workshop sign-ups, and volunteer applications are now open at europe.worldofcoffee.org.
