From November 5 through 8, Rotterdam will be all about specialty coffee. Rotterdam Coffee Fest returns in 2026 with an expanded program, a new festival location at De Doelen, and four days filled with tastings, workshops, competitions, and networking opportunities. An event for both seasoned coffee lovers and curious newcomers.

Following the successful first edition in 2025, Rotterdam Coffee Fest is expanding in 2026. The festival is expanding from two to four days and will bring Rotterdam’s coffee culture to various locations throughout the city. From local coffee roasters to the historic Doelen: everywhere, the focus is on great coffee, new discoveries, and the people behind the bean.

Discover Rotterdam’s coffee scene

On Thursday, November 5, and Friday, November 6, the festival kicks off with a program spread throughout Rotterdam. Visitors can participate in guided tours of coffee roasteries, photography walks, sensory workshops, and brewing masterclasses, among other activities. A major latte art throwdown is also on the program.

It’s a great opportunity to get to know the local coffee scene, discover new flavors, and talk directly with the people who work with coffee every day.

Two Days of Coffee Festival at De Doelen

On Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, De Doelen will be the bustling centerpiece of Rotterdam Coffee Fest. Here you’ll find, among other things, a Roasters Village featuring more than twenty coffee roasters, booths with specialized coffee equipment and products, a dedicated cupping room, and various workshop stations.

Sample coffees from a variety of countries of origin, discover new brewing methods, and be inspired by talks and panel discussions on coffee culture, history, and sustainability. There will also be local food and pastry stands.

And there’s more to experience. Thanks to a new partnership with the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Netherlands, the preliminary rounds of the Dutch Latte Art Championship and the Dutch Cup Tasters Championship will take place during the festival. Here, you can see up close how the best baristas and coffee tasters put their skills to the test. Admission to the SCA preliminary rounds is free.

Here’s what’s on the program

  • Roasters Village: Discover and taste coffee from more than twenty roasters.
  • Tastings and cuppings: sample unique coffees from roasters and green coffee importers.
  • Workshops and masterclasses: learn more about brewing coffee, flavor, and latte art.
  • SCA competitions: cheer on participants in the preliminary rounds of the Dutch Latte Art Championship and the Dutch Cup Tasters Championship.
  • Talks and panels: inspiring discussions about coffee culture, history, and sustainability.
  • Coffee equipment and products: Discover the latest products and equipment for coffee lovers and professionals.
  • Rotterdam’s Favorite Café & Roastery: Vote for Rotterdam’s favorite coffee spots during the public finals.
  • HOKA Coffee Run: Start your day on an active note with a group morning run.
  • Food and pastries: enjoy local delicacies with your coffee.
  • City Program: Visit Rotterdam’s cafés and roasteries during events on November 5 and 6.

Coffee Without Disposable Cups

Rotterdam Coffee Fest aims not only to inspire but also to contribute to a more sustainable coffee culture. That’s why the festival is operating entirely without disposable cups this year. In collaboration with UBITE, reusable cups and a special rinsing station are available.

The role of water in coffee is also highlighted, thanks to partners BRITA, Zero Water, and Third Wave Water. Other companies involved in the festival include La Marzocco, Espresso Service West, Oatly, and Alpro.

Celebrate Rotterdam’s coffee culture

Whether you’re behind the espresso machine yourself, experimenting with pour-over coffee at home, or simply enjoy discovering new coffee shops: Rotterdam Coffee Fest offers plenty of opportunities to taste, learn, and meet people.

The festival is organized by Stichting Coffee Block, a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting Rotterdam’s coffee community and providing a platform for local talent.

Mark November 5–8 on your calendar and discover just how diverse Rotterdam’s coffee culture is.
