Anyone walking around culinary Amsterdam probably already knows Duikelman. The family business has existed since 1940 and over the years grew into a household name in De Pijp. With an assortment of more than 25,000 items, from espresso machines and stoves to knives, cookbooks and professional kitchen equipment, Duikelman caters to both the professional chef and the avid hobby chef.

Currently, the company has two open positions: a sales associate with an affinity for coffee and cooking, and an espresso mechanic for the service workshop.

Salesperson

Sale of espresso machine, barbecue, high-end cooking equipment (stoves, etc.) and other cookware.

We value objective and professional advice. And affinity with cooking, specifically with coffee and espresso machines (barista), is a must.

– Part-time/full-time: 21-39 hours
– Regular workday: Saturday

Espresso mechanic (fitter)

We are looking for a mechanic for our service workshop, located on the same street as our stores.

Together with 2 colleagues, you will be responsible for the maintenance and service of all electrical equipment purchased in our store. These are mainly espresso machines, but also kitchen machines, hand blenders, and other kitchen equipment.

You personally maintain contact with our customers regarding their repairs and you are co-responsible for keeping the parts warehouse in order.

This position requires a high degree of independence, accuracy, and pro activity.

What are you taking with you?

  • Relevant, completed technical education in the direction of electrical engineering
  • Good communication skills, fluent in Dutch, working English
  • Service orientation

Full-time: 39 hours
